Gerresheimer is represented in Denmark with two plants in Værløse and Haarby, with approx.140 employees operating in a flat organization. The sites develop and manufacture Primary Packaging for solid dosages for the global market. The assortment includes screw cap containers, snap-on containers, US-type containers, and closures with/without desiccant and with child-resistant and senior-friendly features.

The Logistics Manager role

The Logistics Manager leads a team of 2 planners, 1 purchaser, 5 employees in the warehouse in Værløse, and 2 in the warehouse in Haarby. The span of responsibility is broad, ensuring optimal execution of the area’s activities within procurement, production planning, warehousing, and transport at Gerresheimer, including coordination of various activities across the organization. An important part of the role is ensuring optimized production volumes by developing and finetuning capacity analysis and planning in production utilizing possibilities in SAP and developing the reports and tools needed. You will take on a hands-on management role. Your team is highly competent, familiar with self-management, and good at internally coordinating.

Your area is directly involved in many customer-specific or improvement projects, making it a dynamic role where you must balance customer satisfaction with effective production planning.

A general experience in operational leadership, optimization of logistics and production areas, and strong SAP optimization experience would be a good foundation for this role.

The Logistics Manager will report to General Manager Andreas Friis-Hansen.

Area of responsibility

  • Responsible for functional areas: production planning, purchasing, warehouse, and outbound transportation.
  • Ensure optimal and flexible production planning for Værløse and Haarby.
  • Sparring partner for planning regarding inventory levels and planning strategies.
  • Daily follow-up with production, CCC, and warehouse (ensure warehouse controls).
  • Supplier contracts, tenders, and negotiations in collaboration with our purchaser.
  • Budgeting, calculating, and determining production targets based on the sales budget.
  • Ensure analysis and monitoring of the production capacity planning, including product demand, to promptly ensure the right capacity expansions (molds and machines).
    Responsible for annual inventory counting.
  • Ensure ongoing maintenance and updating of master data in SAP and development SAP use.
  • Experience with SAP (Modules: MM. LE, PP WM).

Ideal candidate profile

  • Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • Experience in purchasing/logistics/production planning.
  • Experience with production capacity planning, demand forecast, and resource adjustments.
  • Experience with supplier management, tenders, and contract negotiations.
  • Experience working in a production environment under ISO/GMP
  • Experience and deep knowledge of relevant SAP modules and data extraction from SAP for further analysis.
  • Experience from being a sparring partner from a logistics perspective around SAP.
  • A hands-on approach to management, i.e., understanding details to help employees find solutions.
  • Extrovert and collaborate across the organization.
  • Comfortable with making decisions and finding solutions.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken Danish.
  • Good skills in understanding, speaking, and writing English. German is an advantage.
