Strukton in the Nordics
Strukton Rail’s operations in the Nordic region are centralized in Sweden, with Danish activities handled by the subsidiary Strukton Rail A/S Danmark.
The Danish Managing Director (MD) operates under Gustav Oscarsson, who serves as the MD for Strukton Rail Nordics.

Strukton Rail A/S has about 130 employees and generates annual sales of DKK 500 million. The company specializes in renewing and building railway infrastructure in Denmark, with Bane Danmark as the main principal. Strukton Rail shows commitment and pride in its employees, who often have a significant personal interest in track and railways.
Strukton Rail A/S is mainly active in railway construction and renewal projects—from the new construction of track and station facilities to railways, subways, and tracks in urban environments and industry. The company constructs new railway installations, carries out modernization measures and complex BEST projects, tracks and sleepers, switch replacements, ducting, cable lowering and repair, and new construction of signaling systems and overhead contact lines. Strukton Rail A/S works closely with Strukton Rail AB, based in Stockholm.
Strukton Rail A/S borrows equipment from Sweden and the Netherlands. Strukton Group has an extensive fleet of railway machines. The larger machines are part of Strukton’s international machinery pool and are deployed across the countries as needed.
In Denmark, the leading projects involve, e.g., the new construction of signals and railway installations and reinvestment work such as track replacements.

The position
Strukton Denmark is looking for a Finance Director for Denmark who can professionalize and structure the local company and ensure processes and governance in line with Group policies are in place. This person must be operational, engage with relationships, and understand the dynamics of a rail market characterized by an oligopsony, with a few clients and many competitors.
The Finance Director reports directly to the to Danish MD and is part of the management team and dotted line to CFO Nordics, he also reports functionally to the Nordics CFO. The finance department currently consists of 4 people (project controller, the debitor administrator, the creditor administrator, the accounting manager , and there currently one open controller position). The work will involve driving the financial overview and reporting for Strukton A/S in close collaboration with colleagues throughout the organization.
The primary tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Overall responsibility for the finance department and visible leadership in daily operations.
- Hands-on / operational involvement of monthly closing processes.
- Liquidity management/Working Capital Management.
- System ownership, including the development of the company’s systems. New ERP system is expected to be implemented during year 2026.
- Project meetings with project managers / production (monthly follow-up on ongoing projects).
- Various analyses and reporting, including external reporting, and being the architect of major analyses and reports.
- Preparation of business cases, simulations, consequences, and risk mitigation.
- Relationship owner with external partners, including auditors, insurance companies, banks, leasing companies, vehicle fleet suppliers, etc.
- Year-end closing consolidated financial statements in collaboration with auditors, as well as VAT and tax.
- Be able to develop and optimize the business.
The new Finance Director will have the opportunity to influence the content of the position and independently make a difference, contributing to the further professionalization and digitalization of the finance area.

Success criteria:
The new Finance Director will be measured on their ability to lead, motivate, and achieve results in collaboration with the management team and the organization, as defined by the responsibilities outlined in the role. More specifically:
- Strong knowledge in project accounts, management and reporting of finances (including ongoing work, POC, cash flow, etc.).
- Categorization and management of Back Office (overhead) costs.
- IT management (internal, laptops, phones, etc.) Driven by Sweden.
- Active participation in strategy creation and execution.
